Gregorio has more than 30 years of experience in the real estate asset management. He has acted as chairman of different board companies, as well as counselor to wealth management groups. Gregorio is partner in Occimetex with responsibility for deal sourcing, acquisition structuring, transaction execution and asset disposals.

  • 2012– CURRENT – OCCIMETEX CAPITAL & ASSET MANAGEMENT – CO-FOUNDER AND PARTNER.
  • 2007-2012 – CHAIRMAIN AND CEO OF OCCIDENTAL HOTELES & RESORTS:
    • 2007 conducting the M&A/ Exit process of MERCAPITAL (First Private Equity firm in Spain) and LA CAIXA (3rd most important Financial Institution in Spain).
    • 2007 Conducting the M&A process of the Investment in OCCIDENTAL HOTELS of BBVA (2nd most important Bank in Spain) and PONTEGADEA (Family Office of Mr. Amancio Ortega founder and most important shareholder of Inditex (ZARA)).
    • 2008 -2012 Driving the divestment process of the Spanish assets and concentrating the operational activity in Caribbean.
  • 1982-2007 – VICE-CHAIRMAIN AND CEO OF OCCIDENTAL HOTELES & RESORTS: Within these years Gregorio has conducted a great deal of M&A and negotiation processes with highly well known companies:
    • 1982 May 24th foundation of OCCIDENTAL HOTELS
    • 1987 Constitution of Investment Holdings with CORPORACION EMPRESARIAL ONCE, TUBACEX AND LAYETANA to purchase distressed assets in the Leisure Business
    • 1992 M&A process with GMH in 50/50 basis inside OH to develop the expansion program of the company in the Caribbean Area: Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Argentina, Mexico, Panamá, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, USA…
    • 1997 conducting the M&A process of the increase of capital in OH by MERCAPITAL, negotiating the exit process of GENERAL MEDITERRANEAN HOLDING (GMH).
    • 1988 negotiations of the Flamenco Project: expansion of new 3,000 new rooms in the Caribbean and Canary Island through Soteltur Holding in 50/50 basis with La Caixa.
    • 1999 Negotiation of the increase of capital in OH by LA CAIXA to affront the Bussiness Plan of Expansion. 2000 Driving negotiations of the M&A acquisition process of ALLEGRO HOTELS & RESORTS by 430M$
    • 2001 Negotiation of the increase of Capital in OH by the Family Offices GRUPO HEMISFERIO (LARA PLANETA), GRUPO LLADRO and GRUPO GARCIA BAQUERO.
    • 2002 Negotiations of the increase of Capital in OH Subsidiary Investment vehicle for Mexico and DR by IFC (WORLD BANK)
    • 2005 co-managed with Goldman- Sachs the exit of the Family Offices and Private Equities of OH and negotiations with the process winner CARLYLE.

Economist and Master in Taxation. Lucía has worked as Tax Advisor, having the opportunity to advise from SME to large companies in its day-to-day tax issues and developing its business plans and/or international structures. Lucia is partner in Occimetex with responsibility for deal sourcing, acquisition structuring, transaction execution and asset disposals.

Telecommunication Engineer and MBA (IESE). Alfonso has a vast experience in IP solutions (design and implementation), as well as management of real estate portfolios, including construction and refurbishing projects. Alfonso is partner in Occimetex with responsibility for deal sourcing, acquisition structuring, transaction execution and asset disposals. Bachelor Degree in Law and Economics and MBA. Francisco has more than 15 years work experience in real estate, being involved and participating in transactions and asset management of commercial assets of more than 3 billion euros in Spain, Germany, France and UK. Francisco is partner in Occimetex with responsibility for deal sourcing, acquisition structuring, transaction execution and asset disposals.

Law Degree, MBA , Master of Sc in Real Estate Development and Master in Land Management  and Planning. During his professional career Jorge has acquire a wide experience in the real estate sector, his multidisciplinary background and professional experience has allowed him to be involved in different senior roles and areas of the real estate business, such as development and construction, land management and all different types of commercial assets ( office, retail, hotels…). Jorge is partner in Occimetex with responsibility for deal sourcing, acquisition structuring, transaction execution and asset disposals.
